Cowboy-Up Productions

For the majority of March the crew of Cowboy-Up will spend much of their time confirming locations, talking with actors about their roles, updating the shooting schedule, rehearsing, and the like... busy, busy!

Saturday March 4th 2nd Gathering: due to the vast number of crew and cast involved with the project (over 70 people) one of many gatherings was planned in order to allow the cast to meet the crew. Actors were given welcome to the project packets and signed confidentiality contracts.

Saturday March 11th Cast and Crew sit down: we held one of many sit downs with a number of our cast to discuss their roles, their ideas for the project, wardrobe, props, and the like.

Friday March 10th the amazing film production company Rusted Sun Films provided us with the amazing offer to put a trailer in the theater, running along side their wonderful film Diving Manipulation of the Threads!!!!

Thursday March 16th the wonderfully talented Tiffany Pemberton is offered a very lucrative job that will take her out of town for 6 weeks during the production. It saddens us to loose her, but we respect and understand her difficult decision. She will always be a part of Cowboy Up.

Friday March 17th after a week of preparation Cowoby-Up Productions begins shooting a teaser trailer for their upcoming feature length film Curbside Confessions- a feat that will take a day and a half of shooting, a day and a half editing, and a night scoring. All in all 30 hours of work went into making the 90 second teaser trailer. Shocked?

Tuesday March 21st Cowboy-Up Productions gets the 90 second teaser trailer in the hands of Rusted Sun Films. We are given the gracious opportunity, by Rusted Sun Films and Malco Theaters, to test the teaser along side Divine Manipulation of the Threads. It was amazing!

Wednesday March 22nd: From now on SAG is a dirty three letter word! Due to sags attempts to make it more affordable for distributors to purchase films for distribution they implemented new contracts that make it impossible for no-to-very low budget production companies to use SAG actors through eliminating deferred payment as an option from all low budget contracts. Thanks to SAG's attempt to make life better for independent filmmakers and actors alike we lost two wonderful actors where were attached to the project. They are loved and will be missed. The goal of Cowboy Up is to one day be able to work with these actors on our own terms. Watch out SAG.....

March 27th Divine Manipulation of the Threads by Rusted Sun Films premieres in theaters. The film is a smashing hit, so much so Malco theaters asked to have the films run extended in theaters till April 6th. Many of the cast and crew involved with Divine Manipulation of the Threads are also involved with the Curbside Confessions project. It was a treat for us, thanks to Rusted Sun Films, to have them see the teaser trailer along with such an amazing film.

March 30th Rusted Sun Films has a premiere party at Dish for all of those who worked hard to make Divine Manipulation of the Threads a reality. Members of Cowboy Up attended. We wouldn't pass up an opportunity to party with the guys and gals of Rusted Sun Films!
